Our Vision and Intentions

We are a learning community:

• dedicated to Spiritual and Intuitive Development,  
• grounded in love,  
• centered in Nature, Nature’s cycles and metaphors, and  
• focused on knowledge, practice, teaching & learning and community.  

The main intentions guiding our community actions – 

• renewing our connection with Nature and Nature’s cycles,  
• reconnecting mysticism and empiricism (intuition and logic), 
• rebalancing the yin and yang, 
• reimagining teaching and learning, and ·
• returning to community and mutual support.   

We strive to offer lessons and facilitate activities and experiences–

• that attend to varied learning styles, 
• that are fun and engaging, 
• that draw on your own lived knowledge and experience,  
• that focus on the big metaphors of life and living, and 
• that are taught with caring and community in mind.  

Currently we offer classes in four (4) areas: Knowledge, Practice, Teaching and Learning, and LLC only events.

Area 1: Knowledge classes

The theme of Area 1 classes is knowledge, shared language, shared experiences, and modeling. These classes offer tools for learning about yourself and developing your intuition and spirituality.

Area 2: Practice classes

The theme of Area 2 classes is practice, reflection, introspection, and creating. These classes offer experiences and activities in which you gain deeper understanding of the spiritual and intuitive tools and explore the challenges and successes of your practices. 

Area 3: Teaching and Learning classes

The theme of Area 3 is teaching and learning.

Area 4: LLC only classes

The theme of Area 4 classes is community needs, support, and exploration of knowledge and practices.

Area 5: Childhood/Teenage/Adult Learning Community (In development)

We are teachers.  While our practices may overlap, we do not claim or represent ourselves as physical or mental healthcare practitioners. We encourage those dealing with significant physical or mental health issues to work with these practitioners.  

Mels Magic and Luminous Learning Community are learning communities focused on Spiritual and Intuitive development.  Please read our Mission and Philosophy for more information about our communities.
